Eve posted a full ED MV for the first part of the third season of Hyuganatsu and Touko Shino's "The Apothecary Diaries".
The official YouTube channel of Eve posted the full MV of "Aiyou", and the song serves as the ED theme song for the third season of the first part of Hyuganatsu and Touko Shino's "The Apothecary Diaries", which has already been released.
The song is about the complicated nature of love, the emotional distance between two people, and the struggle to express feelings that cannot be explained through logic. It explores a bittersweet idea where two people can feel deeply connected to each other while still struggling to understand what they mean to one another.
The song reflects the central theme of the song: the space between my feelings and your feelings. Even when two people are physically close, their hearts may remain difficult to understand. It is about the beautiful yet painful space between two people who are emotionally drawn to each other but cannot completely understand one another.
The song reminds them that two hearts can be drawn together even when words, logic, and circumstances make it difficult for them to meet.
The third season of the anime series follows Maomao as she steps away from her duties in the inner court and returns to work as a regular apothecary. Meanwhile, Jinshi faces the immense weight of his true identity as an imperial prince and his growing royal responsibilities, which force him to make high-stakes choices. As they investigate mysterious illnesses and encounter an enigmatic shrine maiden, Maomao and Jinshi's relationship enters a deeper, more complicated phase.
The original story follows Maomao, a highly intelligent and sharp-tongued young woman who was raised in the red-light district by her apothecary father, gaining extensive knowledge of medicine and poisons. She solves various medical and criminal mysteries, using her knowledge of herbs, poisons, and human behavior.
The anime series will be streamed on Crunchyroll as part of the fall 2026 anime season, available in the Americas (including North, Central, and South America), Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, the CIS, and Asia (including the Indian Subcontinent), and also on Netflix in selected regions, every Friday.
