Kohei Azano and Sumihei's "Tokyo Ravens" will end in the 18th light novel volume.

Light novel author Kohei Azano announced in the 17th volume of "Tokyo Ravens" that the series ends in the 18th light novel volume, to be released in the winter of 2026. The story centers on Harutora Tsuchimikado, a young boy born into a prestigious onmyoji family. However, he lacks spiritual power, meaning he cannot perform magic, and resigns himself to being a normal person.  He meets Natsume Tsuchimikado, Harutora's childhood friend and a prodigious onmyoji who became the next heir of the Tsuchimikado family.  Due to a series of events, Harutora is forced to take on the role of her familiar and enroll in an onmyoji school in Tokyo, where he becomes involved in the dangerous world of magic, spirits, and ancient conspiracies. The light novel series was published in Fujimi Shobo's Fujimi Fantasia Bunko, which Azano wrote and Sumihei illustrated in May 2010, and was released in 17 light novel volumes.  It was adapted into a manga series drawn by Atsushi Suzumi in Kadoka...

Animate opens its Philippines branch in Makati, Philippines, in October 2026.

Animate Manila announced the opening date of its first-ever Philippines branch, located on the third floor of One Ayala in Makati, Philippines, on Friday, October 16th. Animate is Japan's largest retail chain specializing in anime, manga, video games, and related pop culture merchandise. The first flagship store was opened in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, Japan, in 1983. Currently, there are 118 Animate stores in Japan, four in Mainland China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, and Chengdu. Three in Taiwan, including Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung. Two in Thailand, including Bangkok and Rangsit. Two in South Korea, including Seoul and Busan. One in Malaysia, including Kuala Lumpur, and one in Hong Kong. "Lisa Best - Loud" is the first best-of album since the release of the previous two albums, "Lisa Best - Day" and "Lisa Best - Way" in May 2018. The two-CD set features 17 tracks, featuring 17 tracks from tie-in songs, such as the theme song of the "Demon Slayer" anime franchise, including "Gurenge", "Adamas", "Crossing Field", "Rising Hope", "Shouted Serenade", and "Play the World featuring Pablo".
