Iris and Noboru Kannatsuki's "Magical Explorer" receives an English dub.

Crunchyroll announces the English dub cast of Iris and Noboru Kannatsuki's "Magical Explorer: Reborn as a Side Character in a Fantasy Dating Sim", as part of the fall 2026 anime season, which streams in both Japanese and English dubs on Saturday.

The cast for the English dub includes Alex Mai as Kosuke Takioto, a dedicated fan turned in-game side character who trains secretly to become insanely powerful, striving for a better outcome than his destined third-wheel role.

Madeleine Norton as Marino Hanamura, the principal of Tsukuyomi Magic Academy and head of the Hanamura House, who becomes his financial benefactor while Kosuke attends the academy and trains him to use magic properly.

Ezra Vervin as Hatsumi Hanamura, Marino's daughter and Kosuke's second cousin, has an awkward time adjusting to Kosuke living with her and Marino. Primarily, she keeps causing awkward accidental pervert moments.

Kayla Temshiv as Ludivine Marie-Ange De La Trefle, aka Ludie, the second daughter of the elven Trefle Empire, who tends to come across as a gentle yet high-spirited girl with a strong curiosity about the things around her.

Kystal LaPorte as Claris, Ludie's bodyguard and a maid who helped her solve her efficiency issues with spellcasting. Kosuke notes her most attractive trait is her bottom.

Helena Walstrom and Kevin D. Thelwell are directing the dub. Together with Ben Philips is an adaptation supervisor, Blair Rowan is an adaptation, Benjamin Tehrani is an adaptation preparation, Samantha Herek is producing, Tara A. Williams and Brittni Hurley are talent coordinators, Gino Palencia and Brandon Peters are engineering managers, Andrew Tipps is an ADR mixer, Noah Whitehead is an ADR engineer, and Justin Cook, Michael Harcourt, and Nathanael Harrison are studio producers.

The anime series is available worldwide, excluding Japan and China.
