Keigo Shinzo's "Hirayasumi" will end in 2 chapters.
The 45th 2026 issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Big Comic Spirits magazine announced that Keigo Shinzo's "Hirayasumi" will end in 2 chapters, and the series will conclude in the 47th 2026 issue, to be released on Monday, October 19th.
The story centers on Hiroto Ikuta, a 29-year-old laid-back but aimless person who’s been drifting through life with no clear direction. He unexpectedly inherits an heirloom from his great-aunt, whom he barely knew.
Instead of selling the property or doing something flashy, Hiroto decides to settle down and live there. What follows is a quiet, reflective, and heartfelt story about everyday life, personal growth, and the small, beautiful moments that make life meaningful.
The manga series was published in Shogakukan's Weekly Big Comic Spirits magazine in April 2021 and released in 10 manga volumes. Viz Media licensed the series and released it in English, with the first manga volume released in May 2024.
It also received achievements, including winning the Shogakukan Manga Award in 2026 and winning the Tokyo News Services' TV Bros magazine Bros. Comic Award in 2021.
The manga series received positive reviews from manga critics, including Inio Asano, Masakazu Ishiguro, Misaki Takamatsu, Retto Tajima, Taiyo Matsumoto, and Yama Wayama.
It was adapted into a 20-episode live-action series on Amazon Prime Video from November to December 2025 and an upcoming anime series that airs in January 2027.
