Takara Tomy's "Zoids: Chaotic Century" is getting a new manga series.


 

The official X page of Takara Tomy's "Zoids" announced that the series is getting a new manga based on "Zoids: Chaotic Century" titled "Zoids: Chaotic Century - The Beginning: The Final Chapter", and details about the manga will be announced.

"Zoids: Chaotic Century - The Beginning" is based on the first season of the anime series that aired from September 1999 to April 2000. The story centers on Van Flyheight as he pilots a mysterious zoid, the Shield Liger, which evolves into the Blade Liger in a war between the Helic Republic and the Guylos Empire on Planet Zi. He encounters Fiona Elisi Linette, a mysterious young girl, and Zeke, an Organoid, as they piece together the past and bring peace to Planet Zi.

When a corrupt imperial officer, Gunther Prozen, tries to assassinate young Prince Rudolph to spark a new global war and revive a legendary, destructive superweapon, the Death Saurer. Van and his allies must stop the Death Saurer and navigate political strife to bring lasting peace to the planet.

The original manga series was published in Shogakukan's Monthly Coro Coro Comics magazine, which Michiro Ueyama drew and Takara Tomy supervised from April 1999 to September 2001, and was released in 5 volumes.

"Zoids" is a Japanese media franchise created by Takara Tomy, formerly Tomy, in the early 1980s. At its core, Zoids are mechanized animal-like robots that can be piloted by humans. The model kits began in 1982, and they became very popular globally, including Japan, Europe, and later in the United States.

It was adapted into an anime series and video games, which combine the fun of building and customizing with the excitement of anime battles and creature-like mecha designs.
