Kocha Agasawa’s “The Ramparts of Ice” is getting an epilogue chapter in the manga's fan book to be released in January 2027.

The official X page of Kocha Agasawa's "The Ramparts of Ice" announced that the series is getting an epilogue, which is included in the manga's fan book to be released on Monday, January 4th, 2027. The epilogue takes place after the events of the manga series.

The story centers on 2 girls, including Koyuki Hikawa, an introverted, aloof, and emotionally guarded character known for a cold expression who has her walls up because of past hurts, and Miki Azumi, Koyuki's childhood friend, who is popular and socially confident.

2 boys, including Minato Amamiya, an outgoing, empathetic, and sociable person who enjoys interacting with many people, and Yota Hino, an easygoing and kind member of the basketball club, have less flashy and more relaxed personalities, providing support and a gentle contrast to others.

They are navigating complex social pressures, hidden insecurities, and growing romantic feelings. The story focuses on the deep, sometimes isolating, emotional walls characters build around themselves and their journey toward genuine connection.

The manga series was published digitally by Line Corporation and physically by Shueisha from January 2020 to April 2022, and released in 14 manga volumes. It also received achievements, including the Special Prize at the Shueisha Shojo Manga Grand Prix in 2018, first place in the Comic CMoa Annual Ranking in the josei manga category in 2022, and winner of the Vertical Manga Award in the completed comic category in 2024. MangaPlaza published the series digitally in English.

It was adapted into 2 seasons of the anime series, including the first season in April 2026 and the second season in October 2026.

Image
Ozine Events has formally announced that its signature convention lineup, including Anime Fair, Otaku Expo, and its general event operations, will go dark following the abrupt cancellations of two major events: Ozine Idol Fest at Megatrade Hall, originally scheduled for September 26th and 27th, and Ozine Halloween Special, scheduled for October 31st to November 1st. The underlying challenges facing Ozine Events stem from a series of major controversies, including the TokuSpirits guest payment dispute and the breakdown of its Wargods partnership. These incidents have contributed to serious operational concerns, including last-minute event cancellations that have damaged community trust, financial and refund disputes involving unfulfilled merchandise pre-orders and unpaid guest fees, communication breakdowns linked to expired web domains and unreachable email channels, and the closure of its physical café. As a result, parts of the local Philippine otaku and cosplay community increasingl...
