Kaeruno Erefante's "Manga Diary of a Male Porn Star" is getting a manga sequel.

The official website of Shinchosha's Kurage Bunch manga website announced that Kaeruno Erefante's "Manga Diary of a Male Porn Star" is getting a manga sequel titled "Manga Diary of a Male Porn Star: Reiwa Edition".

The manga series is an autobiographical work that centers on Kaeruno, an average, middle-aged otaku trying to navigate the bizarre and exhausting world of adult films. He serves as the audience surrogate, reacting with shock, humor, and exhaustion to his new career.

Looking for a radical fresh start, he moves to Tokyo. Seeking a unique and seemingly easy way to restart his life and make quick money, he makes the bold, absurd choice to apply as a male adult video actor. Expecting glitz, glamour, and an easy paycheck, Kaeruno quickly receives a harsh reality check.

The story explores the surprising physical demands, awkward behind-the-scenes realities, weird eccentricities, and quirky cast of characters that populate the Japanese adult entertainment business.

The manga series was published on Shinchosha's Kurage Bunch manga website from January 2020 to October 2026, and released in 12 manga volumes. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the series and released it in English, with the first manga volume released in September 2021.

The Decline of Ozine Events and the Changing Philippine Convention Landscape.

Image
Ozine Events has formally announced that its signature convention lineup, including Anime Fair, Otaku Expo, and its general event operations, will go dark following the abrupt cancellations of two major events: Ozine Idol Fest at Megatrade Hall, originally scheduled for September 26th and 27th, and Ozine Halloween Special, scheduled for October 31st to November 1st. The underlying challenges facing Ozine Events stem from a series of major controversies, including the TokuSpirits guest payment dispute and the breakdown of its Wargods partnership. These incidents have contributed to serious operational concerns, including last-minute event cancellations that have damaged community trust, financial and refund disputes involving unfulfilled merchandise pre-orders and unpaid guest fees, communication breakdowns linked to expired web domains and unreachable email channels, and the closure of its physical café. As a result, parts of the local Philippine otaku and cosplay community increasingl...
