Kenichiro Katsura - 1966-2026.


Japanese animator Satoko Miyachi announced on the official X page that her husband and animator, Kenichiro Katsura, passed away at the age of 59 due to illness on Wednesday, September 30th.

Katsura was born in Fukushima Prefecture on December 4th, 1966. He's a Japanese animator known for producing character designs and serving as chief animation director for anime projects such as "Knights and Magic" and "Synduality Noir".

Katsura is recognized for his character-design work and his decades of contributions to Japanese animation. His artistry and contributions to anime will continue to be remembered by fans and fellow creators around the world.
