Akari Nanawo posted an ED MV for Muchimaro's "Even the Student Council Has Its Holes".


The official YouTube channel of Akari Nanawo posted the full MV of "Pi", and the song serves as the ED theme song for Muchimaro's "Even the Student Council Has Its Holes", which has already been released. The CD single is to be released on Wednesday, November 25th.

The song is a playful celebration of individuality, especially the strange, imperfect, and quirky parts of themselves. The title of the song deliberately has multiple associations. Nanawo herself explained that the repeated "Pi" comes from a hole or gap and the unique traits that make someone who they are.

The song is about not having to erase your imperfections or weirdness to belong. Sometimes the very things that make you different are what give you your personality. It is a playful anthem about accepting the holes and quirks in yourself because those imperfections are part of what makes your personality uniquely yours.

The story centers on Ume Mizunoe, a first-year high school student and literature enthusiast who excels in the humanities but struggles with science and math. He is press-ganged into joining the student council to fix his academic woes.

He joins Hisako Kotobuki, a third-year student with a ponytail who serves as the student council president. She is an overachiever who excels in both academics and sports.

Rather than focusing on formal school government, the council handles bizarre student requests, everyday club disputes, and awkward social situations. Ume joins the student council to boost his grades and avoid repeating a grade, only to discover the council is a chaotic group of eccentric, weird, and endearing misfits.

The anime series will be streamed on Oceanveil as part of the fall 2026 anime season, available in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, every Sunday.

Animate Manila announced the opening date of its first-ever Philippines branch, located on the third floor of One Ayala in Makati, Philippines, on Friday, October 16th.
