Masayoshi Oishi posted an OP MV for Kazami Sawatari and Achiki's "The Cold Sato-san is Only Sweet to Me".

The official YouTube channel of Masayoshi Oishi posted the full MV of "Sugar Salt", and the song serves as the OP theme song for Kazami Sawatari and Achiki's "The Salty Koharu Has a Soft Spot for Me", also known as "The Cold Sato-san is Only Sweet to Me", which the song has been released.

The song is a playful love song about the sweet-and-salty contrast of falling for someone whose outward personality seems cold, but who becomes surprisingly sweet around the person they trust. The song is about how love becomes special because you discover the side of someone that nobody else gets to see.

The song is a cheerful celebration of first love, where the person who seems salty and distant to everyone else becomes incredibly sweet when they are with the one they truly trust.

The story centers on Sota Oshio, a second-year male high school student who works part-time at his family's cafe. He posts pictures of the cafe on social media, where the cafe's account has over 5,000 followers.

She meets Koharu Sato, Sota's classmate and his first love. Due to her cold personality, she befriends Sota after seeing his social media pictures, which interest her, as her own photography skills are poor.

When Sota helps run the café's social media page using his great photography skills, they realize Koharu is terribly unphotogenic and bad at taking pictures. They use practicing photography as an excuse to spend more time together. As they grow closer, both try to navigate their hidden, deep-seated feelings for one another.

The anime series will be streamed on Crunchyroll as part of the fall 2026 anime season, available worldwide, excluding Japan, Belarus, China, Korea, and Russia, and also on Bilibili and Aniplus Asia in selected Asian countries every Tuesday.
