Manga Mavericks acquires Sho Yunoko's "Greetings from Amatsumizu City's Suppression Squad" manga to be released in July 2027.

Manga Mavericks announced the acquisition of Sho Yunoko's "Greetings from Amatsumizu City's Suppression Squad" to be released in digital and print in July 2027.

The story takes place in Amatsumizu City, a peaceful local city in Kyushu, Japan, that suddenly faces an influx of bizarre supernatural creatures. They are yokai-like beings with cute faces that inflict low-level yet frustrating chaos on the town, such as shredding clothes into rags, eating crops before harvest, and breaking residents' eardrums with weird noises.

The yokai have outnumbered the human population; the city's mayor decides to form a special crack team to handle the menace. The twist? The team doesn't exist yet, and four everyday local citizens are chosen essentially by lottery to form the Countermeasures Squad.

The manga series was published in Hero's Incorporated's Hero's Web in September 2023 and released in 6 manga volumes.
