Hikaru Nakamura’s “Black Night Parade” manga ends.
The November 2026 issue of Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine published the final chapter of Hikaru Nakamura's "Black Night Parade" on Monday, and added that the series will publish a side story and a major announcement in the December 2026 issue of the magazine, which releases on Friday, December 18th.
The story centers on Miharu Hino; he works a dead-end part-time job and feels trapped by failed exams and adult stress. On Christmas night, he is swallowed by a talking sack and whisked away to the Arctic.
Instead of the cheerful red-suited Santa, Miharu learns he now works for a black-suited Dark Santa operation that punishes or delivers creepy or bad gifts to naughty kids.
As Miharu gets pulled deeper into the job, the plot spirals into wild complications, including rival matches for an adamantine sword, time loops with Drosselmeyer, betrayal by the Reindeer twins, and hidden connections to his own deceased father.
The manga series was published in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine from November 2016 to July 2019, moved to Ultra Jump magazine from September 2019 to October 2026, and was released in 12 manga volumes, including the upcoming 12th and final manga volume to be released on Thursday, December 17th.
It was adapted into a live-action film released in December 2022.
