Jaku Amano's "A-Do" manga ends in November 2026.
The November 2026 issue of Kodansha's Monthly Young Magazine announced that Jaku Amano's "A-Do" will end in the December 2026 issue of the magazine, to be released on Wednesday, November 18th.
In July 2025, the manga series announced that it would conclude with the 12th manga volume, but the series went on a hiatus in October 2025 and resumed in February 2026. The 12th volume was released in July 2026. However, the author decided to publish more final chapters, so they will continue for one more volume. The main reason is to properly wrap up loose ends, accommodate extra chapters that exceeded magazine page limits, or fulfill publisher volume-length requirements.
The story centers on Riko, a spirited and impulsive young woman who becomes Eito's protector, propelling her into a perilous journey, challenging her perceptions and resilience. She meets Eito, a young Ado with enigmatic powers and a mysterious past. His existence is central to the unfolding conspiracy, and his relationship with Riko forms the emotional core of the story.
As Riko and Eito evade relentless military pursuit, they uncover deeper layers of a government conspiracy, confronting questions about identity, humanity, and the ethical implications of engineered life.
The manga series was published in Kodansha's Monthly Young Magazine in May 2019 and released in 12 manga volumes. Kodansha USA licensed the series and released it in English, with the first manga volume released in March 2024.
