Fumino posted an OP MV for the third season of Rumiko Takahashi's "Ranma 1/2".
The official YouTube channel of Fumino posted a full MV for "Sunao Miman", also known as "Less Than Honest", and the song serves as the OP theme song for the third season of Rumiko Takahashi's "Ranma 1/2", which the song has been released.
The song describes someone who has feelings they cannot fully express, often because pride, embarrassment, or fear gets in the way. Fumino wrote the lyrics and contributed to the composition. She explained that the song was inspired by the characters of the anime and their contrasting personalities and frustration at being unable to express their feelings honestly.
The central idea of the song is the difference between what you feel inside and what you show to other people. Imagine caring deeply about someone but refusing to admit it. You might tease them, act annoyed, or pretend you don't care because showing affection makes you feel exposed. Inside, you want to get closer. Outside, you put up a wall. This creates an emotional contradiction: you want the other person to understand you, but you make it difficult for them to see your real feelings.
The song is about being caught between wanting to express your feelings and being too proud, embarrassed, or afraid to do so. It highlights how people can act tough or argumentative while hiding tenderness underneath and reminds listeners that emotional honesty doesn't always come naturally, especially when another person's opinion matters.
The story centers on Ranma Saotome, who has trained in the Anything-Goes style of martial arts since early childhood. As a result of an accident during a training journey, he is cursed to become a girl when exposed to cold water, while hot water changes him back into a boy.
The third season of the anime series will be streamed on Netflix every Saturday.
