Kotaro Sekine, Kumo Kagyu, and Noboru Kannatsuki's "Moscow 2160" manga ends in the 5th volume in December 2026.

Amazon Japan is listing Kotaro Sekine, Kumo Kagyu, and Noboru Kannatsuki's "Moscow 2160" to end in the 5th manga volume to be released on Christmas Day, Friday, December 25th.

Based on the light novel series of the same name. The story takes place in Moscow, Russia, in the year 2160. The Soviet Union never collapsed, the space race continued, and a brutal Cold War with the United States has dragged on for nearly two centuries.

Moscow is a cold, bleak dystopian metropolis stripped of freedom, truth, and prosperity. Unpredictable, heavily augmented cyborg soldiers roam the streets, monitored by authorities, while state security agencies, Western Spies, and criminal syndicates wage a silent, lethal war in the shadows.

The story centers on Danila Kragin, an unaugmented, flesh-and-blood mercenary known in the underworld as The Janitor, who takes on dirty, dangerous odd jobs. Despite the hostile world around him, he fights to survive and make enough money to protect his loved ones and return home.

The manga series was published in Square Enix's Monthly Big Gangan magazine, which Sekine wrote and Kagyu supervised, with Kannatsuki designing the characters, in December 2022, and was released in four manga volumes.

The light novel series was published in SB Creative's GA Bunko where Kagyu wrote and Kannatsuki illustrated, in June 2023, released a single volume.

Yen Press licensed the series and released it in English, with the first light novel volume released in February 2026, and the upcoming first manga volume scheduled to be released on Tuesday, November 24th.
