Yurina Kawaguchi posted an ED MV for CLAMP’s “Magic Knight Rayearth”.

The official YouTube channel of Yurina Kawaguchi posted a full MV for "Starlight", and the song serves as the ED theme song for the first cour of CLAMP's "Magic Knight Rayearth", which was released.

Kawaguchi is a Japanese singer, actress, and model who entered the entertainment industry after winning the Acting Division Award at the 14th All Japan Beauty Contest in 2014. She joined the idol group X21 from 2016 to 2018. She made her solo music debut in March 2022, and this is her first tie-in anime song.

The title of the song can be understood as a song about finding a source of light in the darkness, something or someone that helps you keep moving forward when life feels uncertain. It evokes the gentle glow of stars in the night sky. Unlike sunlight, which illuminates everything brightly, starlight can be subtle and distant. Yet even a small light can provide comfort when everything around you feels dark.

The deeper message of the song offers a meaningful reminder: even a small light can make a difference in the darkness. You do not need to have everything figured out, receive constant recognition, or prove yourself to everyone. What matters is continuing to believe in something meaningful, even when the road ahead is unclear.

It invites listeners to think about the hope that guides them, the people who brighten their lives, and the inner light that helps them continue through uncertainty.

The story follows three eighth-grade girls, including Hikaru Shido, Umi Ryuzaki, and Fuu Hououji, as they are transported into the mystical world of Cephiro. When the high priest Zagato imprisons Princess Emeraude, the world begins to collapse.

The girls must awaken the three giant elemental mecha known as Mashin or Rune Gods and harness magical powers to save the princess and return home. However, the plot takes a dramatic, tragic twist when they learn the heartbreaking truth behind Emeraude and Zagato's bond.

The anime series will be streamed on Crunchyroll as part of the fall 2026 anime season, available in the Americas (including North, Central, and South America), Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, the CIS (excluding Belarus and Russia), and Asia (including Southeast Asia and Korea), and also on Ani-One Asia in selected Asian countries, every Wednesday.
