Kennoji and R. Ringo's "My Sword Saint Master is Too Cute to Live With" receives an anime, which will air in January 2027.

The official website of Kennoji and R. Ringo's "My Sword Saint Master is Too Cute to Live With" announced that the anime adaptation is in the works and revealed the details, including the cast and staff, which will air in January 2027. To commemorate the announcement of the anime, manga illustrator R. Ringo is drawing an illustration to celebrate the news.

The cast for the anime series includes Seena Hoshiki as Eugene Dawson, a young, earnest trainee swordsman who lives with Liza. He tries hard to improve his skills while dealing with the chaotic and embarrassing situations caused by his master's lack of boundaries.

Ai Kakuma as Liza Parsandra, a retired, world-renowned Sword Saint with immense power and stacked physical stats. Despite her lethal martial reputation and dazzling beauty, she is air-headed, clumsy, and acts affectionately toward Eugene without realizing the impact it has on him.

Other cast members include Hitomi Ueda as Cordelia Dawson, Liza's best friend and Eugene's mother, who asks Liza to look after Eugene before the Great War. Azusa Tsujimori as Erin Tohill, a friendly receptionist at the adventurer's guild that Eugene frequents.

Tomoyo Takayanagi as Melis Eclipse, the headmistress of the magic academy and Liza's close friend, a highly skilled former military magic commander who acts as an affectionate older-sister figure to Eugene. Miyu Tomita as Fiona Rosso, Lumiere's apprentice who sees the relationship with Eugene until she becomes increasingly jealous and hostile towards him. Minami Takahashi as Lumiere Theomail, she's one of the heroes of the Great War who harbors animosity toward Eugene.

Masayoshi Nishida is directing the anime at the animation studios Wolfsbane and Lightbox. Together with Yohei Kashii is writing the series composition, Ichiro Tanaka is designing the characters, and 12Sound is composing the music.

The manga series was published on Media Factory's KadoComi digital platform, which Kennoji wrote and R. Ringo illustrated, in March 2024, and was released in 2 manga volumes. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the series, which will be released under the Ghost Ship imprint in English.
