Kenshi Yonezu and Hikaru Utada’s “Jane Doe” from Tatsuki Fujimoto’s “Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc” has reached 100 million views.

The official website of Reissue Records announced that Kenshi Yonezu and Hikaru Utada's "Jane Doe" has reached 100 million views on Thursday.

As of Thursday, October 8th. The music video has reached 100 million views since it was released in September 2025. The song serves as the theme song for Tatsuki Fujimoto's "Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc".

The collaboration between Yonezu and Utada is notable, as both artists are very high-profile, which has generated a lot of excitement. Yonezu initially wrote the song without having a specific singer in mind.

As the song developed, Yonezu felt that Utada was the right partner to perform it. Utada said that working with Yonezu is a creative challenge and a chance to show new sides while still staying true to themselves.

The song reflects a relationship that has beauty and intimacy, but is also marked by hurt, danger, and possibly betrayal or separation. The imagery implies scars that persist, hidden things, and a sense of being lost, which adds to a theme of anonymity or being unknown or misunderstood.

The anime film was released first in Japan in September 2025, where it grossed US$191.4 million worldwide, making it one of the highest-grossing Japanese films of all time, and it received positive reviews from critics. It also received achievements, including winning Daruma for Best Feature Film at the Japan Expo Awards in 2026.
