Yoko Kamio will write the novel adaptation of Kazuto Nakazawa, Wit Studio, and Netflix’s “Love Through a Prism”.
The title of the 2-volume series. The first volume is "The Day That the London Sky Was Blue", and the second volume is "Love Through a Prism: Destiny is Beyond the Canvas". Kamio is drawing the covers for the novel adaptation.
The story centers on Lili Ichijoin, a Japanese exchange student and aspiring painter who travels to England to study at the prestigious Saint Thomas Art Academy. Her goal is to rise to the top of her painting class, a requirement her parents set. If she doesn't succeed, she must give up her dream and return home to Japan.
She meets Kit Church, a talented aristocratic artist who excels at art but keeps others at arm's length. He is skilled but emotionally withdrawn and aloof at first, and his connection with Lili gradually softens his defenses, revealing deeper layers of character and vulnerability.
Lili’s sincerity, resilience, and honest passion begin to break down Kit’s guarded exterior, creating an evolving connection that becomes the emotional heart of the story.
The anime series ran for 20 episodes on Netflix in January 2026. Kazuto Nakazawa directed the anime at Wit Studio, and Yoko Kamio created the original work and character concepts.
