Tsunomaki Watame posted an OP MV for Umikaze Minamino, Jishaku, and Katana Canata's "Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden".

The official YouTube channel of Tsunomaki Watame posted a full MV of "Respawn", and the song serves as the OP theme song for Umikaze Minamino, Jishaku, and Katana Canata's "Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden", for which the song was released. Her CD single will be released on Wednesday, December 23rd.

Tsunomaki Watame is a Japanese VTuber from Hololive, debuting as the fourth generation in December 2019. She focuses heavily on music, including original songs, weekly singing and karaoke streams like Watame Night Fever, ASMR, and gaming.

The song is a rock anthem about getting back up, embracing your unfinished life, and continuing forward no matter how many times you fail, get hurt, or feel inadequate. The title of the song means that when a character is defeated, they return and get another chance. The song turns that concept into a metaphor for life.

The message of the song is about second chances, persistence, unfinished dreams, accepting your imperfect self, and having the courage to keep living aggressively and authentically. You may fall, fail, get hurt, grow older, or even feel like you're starting from zero, but as long as you're still alive, you can respawn and keep going.

The story centers on Nia Liston, a legendary, undefeated hero who even slew a god in her past life with deep regret. She never found a single opponent strong enough to defeat her in battle. Her soul is pulled into the body of a frail and sickly 4-year-old daughter of a high-ranking noble family in the Kingdom of Altoire. When a healer fails to cure Nia's terminal respiratory illness, he transfers the hero's soul into her body.

Now trapped in a weak child's body that she must slowly nurse and train back into fighting shape, Nia has two missions: build up her physical strength while helping her family grow their new broadcast and entertainment technology business called Magivision, and secretly search for formidable opponents who can finally grant her the glorious death in battle she has always craved.

The anime series will be streamed on HiDive as part of the fall 2026 anime season, available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, every Tuesday.
