The Pokémon Company International, Tencent Games, and TiMi Studio Group's "Pokémon Unite" ends its service in March 2027.

The staff of The Pokémon Company International, Tencent Games, and TiMi Studio Group's "Pokémon Unite" announced that the mobile app will end its service on both the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices on Tuesday, March 23rd, 2027. The sales of the in-game Aeos gem currency, new Unite Club membership purchases, and membership renewals have been suspended.

The game's staff stated that the Pokémon Unite Aeos Crown 2027 Tokyo tournament will still be held as previously announced, with qualifier tournaments starting on Saturday, December 5th. A special event and update leading up to the game's end of service will start on Thursday, November 12th.

The update will include a library feature, which will allow players to view certain records and in-game content. Players have to complete the required library data download before the game ends service to be able to use the feature.

"Pokémon Unite" is a free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena released for the Nintendo Switch in July 2021, and mobile, including Android and iOS, in September 2021. It features 5 distinct combat roles and classes for each Pokémon, including Attacker, Speedster, All-Rounder, Defender, and Supporter.

It has game modes including a Standard Battle mode and Ranked Match, which compete in 5-versus-5 matches; Quick Battle mode, which competes in shorter 3-versus-3 or 4-versus-4 matches; and Tournament and Custom Mode.

The rules of the game are that two teams compete to score the most Aeos points before the 10-minute timer runs out. Defeat wild or opposing Pokémon to collect Aeos energy, then deposit it into the opposing team's goal zones. The team with the most total Aeos points at the end of the 10 minutes wins. If there is a tie, the team that reached the tied score first wins.
