Man with a Mission posted an OP MV for Dr. Poro and Nabana Nana's "The Vermilion Mask".

The official YouTube channel of Man with a Mission posted a full MV for "Firestarter", and the song serves as the OP theme song of Dr. Poro and Nabana Nana's "The Vermilion Mask", which has been released.

The song is about finding the inner strength to challenge a cruel fate, overcoming adversity, and igniting the courage to create a new future. It is an energetic rock anthem about refusing to let suffering, mistakes, or circumstances determine how your story ends.

The bassist of the band, Kamikaze Boy, explained that he wanted the song to encourage young characters who carry difficult destinies as they continue their adventures.

The band consists of Tokyo Tanaka on lead vocals, Jean-Ken Johnny on guitar, co-lead vocals, and rapping, Kamikaze Boy on bass, backing vocals, and keyboard, DJ Santa Monica on turntables, keyboards, synthesizer, sampling, and percussion, and Spear Rib on drums and percussion.

The deeper message of the song is about a spark of change, fighting against a cruel fate, rising after failure, and moving forward despite fear and regret. Peru d'Arrest is manipulated by a powerful mask and accidentally kills people close to him. He then sets out to destroy the masks while confronting his own guilt and past actions.

The real-life message of the song is to inspire people pursuing their dreams, creative careers, or personal growth. Sometimes, you will stumble, feel frustrated, or encounter people who do not believe in you. You might even question whether your efforts are worth continuing. It encourages you to turn that frustration into motivation.

It is a song about becoming the spark that changes your own destiny. Even if life leaves you with regret, pain, or uncertainty, you can rise again, learn from your experiences, and move toward a better future. You do not need everyone's approval to begin again; you need the courage to take the first step. Like a fire that begins with a single spark, meaningful change can start with one decision to keep going.

The story centers on Peru d'Arrest, a talented young apprentice mask maker haunted by the tragedy of slaughtering his master and peers under the influence of a cursed mask. He vows to wipe all such relics from existence.

When Peru wears a powerful cursed artifact, the Mask of the Warrior God, it drives him into a violent and uncontrollable frenzy. Wracked with guilt and trauma after accidentally killing his master and fellow disciples.

Peru sets out on a journey of atonement to track down and destroy every single legendary mask his late master crafted before they can cause further calamity. He crosses a dangerous world filled with political tension, tragic figures, and rival mask wearers, including the country of Lisblanc.

The anime series will be streamed on Crunchyroll as part of the fall 2026 anime season, available in the Americas (including North, Central, and South America), Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, the CIS, and Asia (including the Indian Subcontinent), and also on Ani-One Asia in selected countries, every Saturday.
