Resn and Yachimoto's "Destiny Unchain Online" received an anime in 2027.

The official website of Resn and Yachimoto's "Destiny Unchain Online" announced that the anime adaptation is in the works and revealed the details, including the cast and staff, which will air in 2027. To commemorate the announcement of the anime, light novel illustrator and manga artist Yachimoto is drawing an illustration to celebrate the news.

The cast for the anime series is Ikumi Hasegawa as Kou Mitsuki, aka Crim Luersheia, a skilled young gamer turned vampire girl avatar who dominates PvP and game mechanics while building a reputation as the Crimson Demon Lord.

He is a middle-school gamer with god-tier skills, famously known online as Crim the Headhunter. He agrees to beta-test a new, full-dive VRMMO developed by his father, which uses a specialized medical capsule, Cradle, to simulate all five senses.

When a system bug is encountered, Kou is permanently transformed into a female vampire girl, and he gets trapped inside the game and cannot log out. His real-life body in the physical Cradle capsule shifts into a female form. He spawns alone in a remote forest after his father tells him he is not in immediate physical danger and instructs him to stay logged in.

Kou decides to play the game normally. He hones his high-level combat skills, starts streaming his gameplay, forms a party and guild, and eventually earns the legendary title of the Crimson Demon Lord.

Koichi Hatsumi is directing the anime at the animation studio Studio Voil. Together with Seiko Takagi is writing the series composition, Masashi Kudo is designing the characters, and Yuki Hayashi, Yuki Furuhashi, and Hayato are composing the music.

The novel series was published on Let's Become Novelists in May 2020, as a sequel to the previous web novel, "Worldgate Online", until the series was deleted and moved to Kakuyomu in June 2021. Kodansha's Kodansha Ranobe Books published the light novel, written by Resn and illustrated by Yachimoto, in November 2022, and released it in 3 light novel volumes.

It was adapted into a manga series drawn by Yachimoto in Kodansha's Magazine Pocket in July 2022, and released in 13 manga volumes.
