Kagura Nana posted an ED MV for the second season of Nigoju and Umibozu's "The Detective is Already Dead".

The official YouTube channel of Kagura Nana posted a full MV for "Daydreams", and the song serves as the ED theme song for the second season of Nigoju and Umibozu's "The Detective is Already Dead", which has been released.

Kagura Nana is a Japanese illustrator, character designer, singer, and independent VTuber who debuted in February 2019. She is widely known as the character designer of Nakiri Ayame of Hololive and other virtual talents such as Spade Echo and Kamizuki Naki.

The new ED song serves as a sequel to the previous song, "Heartbeat", from the ED of the first season of the anime series that aired in July 2021.

The song is about longing, precious memories, promises, and feelings that remain even when someone important is no longer by your side. It explores the emotional space between dreams and reality: remembering someone, holding on to a connection, and wishing that the moments you shared could continue.

The second season of the anime series centers on Kimihiko Kimizuka, who leads a quiet life but is drawn back into mysteries connected to Siesta’s past. He meets Siesta, the legendary detective who is already dead, who was highly skilled, composed, and enigmatic.

The two spend time together traveling the globe, fighting a secret, evil organization, SPES. However, their partnership abruptly ends with Siesta's death. In the present day, a grieving Kimihiko tries to return to a normal, boring student life.

His routine shatters when he meets Nagisa Natsunagi, a young woman who received a heart transplant from Siesta and carries her residual memories and emotions, pulling Kimihiko back into the world of mysteries and conspiracies.

The anime series will be streamed on Crunchyroll as part of the fall 2026 anime season, available in the Americas (including North, Central, and South America), Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, the CIS, and Asia (including Southeast Asia), and also on Muse Asia in selected Asian countries, every Wednesday.
