Shinya Murata and Kazuasa Sumita's "Killing Bites" published the first part of the final chapter.

Hero's Incorporated announced that Shinya Murata and Kazuasa Sumita's "Killing Bites" published the first part of the final chapter on Friday, and the second part will be published soon.

The story centers on Yuuya Nomoto, a college student who is dragged into a secret underground sport called Killing Bites. Killing Bites is a secret underground sport using superpowered human-animal hybrids called Brutes to fight on behalf of Japan's wealthiest corporate financial groups to settle ancient and modern disputes.

Yuuya was tricked by his acquaintances into helping kidnap a high school girl named Hitomi Uzaki. Hitomi is a female honey badger who is famously fearless, vicious in combat, and fights with relentless tenacity regardless of the size or strength of her opponent. He becomes Hitomi's reluctant financial investor, thrust into a dangerous proxy war where losing a match usually means death.

The manga series is written by Murata and illustrated by Sumita, published in Hero's Incorporated's Monthly Hero's magazine from November 2013 to October 2020, transferred to Comiplex magazine in November 2020, and released in 27 manga volumes. Mangamo licensed the series digitally in English.

It was adapted into a manga spinoff centered on Inaba Ui, "Desire Overload, Right Inaba", written by Sumita on Hero's Incorporated's Wild Hero's manga website in August 2020.

It was adapted into a 12-episode anime series that aired in January 2018.
